Mizanur Rahman Sinha was a prominent Bangladeshi politician, industrialist, and social worker. He served as a Member of Parliament representing the Munshiganj-2 constituency as a candidate of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party and also held the responsibilities of State Minister of Health and Family Welfare, as well as State Minister of Textiles. On 1 April 2016, he was appointed Treasurer of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party.
Mr. Sinha graduated in Commerce from the University of Dhaka. He began his professional career at Habib Bank Limited in 1964, where he served in various important positions. In 1976, he joined The ACME Laboratories Ltd. to fulfill the vision of his father, the late Hamidur Rahman Sinha, founder of the company. He became Managing Director in 1981 and, through nearly five decades of visionary leadership, dedication, and experience, played a vital role in establishing ACME as one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in Bangladesh.
In addition to his leadership at ACME, Mr. Sinha also served as Chairman of ACME Garments Unit and led several other business enterprises, including Sinha Knit and Denims Ltd., Sinha Knit Industries Ltd., Sinha Trendy Knitwear Limited, and Sinha Logistics Limited.
Beyond politics and business, he was widely respected as a committed social worker. He made significant contributions to community welfare through the development of schools, colleges, madrasas, and local infrastructure, leaving a lasting impact on society.
